This week you’ll notice that our bins are filled with items from right here in the northwest! And they are looking absolutely gorgeous. We’d like to highlight some of Carolyn’s favorites this week! Take a peek at what you should expect in your bins:

Throw them on the grill, make them into a chowder. However you like ’em, you will definitely love this week’s sweet corn! Yummy! Remove the outer husks and store them in the coldest area of your fridge to keep them as long as possible.

Look how bright and vibrant these green bell peppers are. A great source of vitamin C and an extra kick to any meal, these bell peppers are a summer staple! Stuff them, grill them, dip them in ranch. These versatile peppers are an excellent choice.

Another great snacker and vitamin C-er are these juicy, beautiful, sweet cherry heirloom tomatoes. They are full of flavor and the perfect afternoon snack for an extra boost to get you through the day.

Sweet peaches! Is there a summer fruit any better? These stone fruits will definitely put up a good fight for the top spot. Slice them into some organic cottage cheese for a healthy and quick breakfast! Looking to spice it up? Make peach cobbler!

Gold beets with tops offer much more than the average eye can see. Utilize the entire beet, tops and all, for a delicious and nutritious meal. Throw the beets on the grill and sauté the tops for a wonderful and light summer meal.

The ever underrated eggplant can be prepared in so many ways! We’d like to challenge you to cook your favorite eggplant dish this week. Share the recipe and the photos on our Facebook wall! because there is nothing better than sharing recipes with fellow foodies! Food brings the world together!
