Produce Report: New boxes and yummy produce!

Hello all and Happy Monday! This week’s produce is arriving in great condition, especially with our brand new cardboard boxes! Take a look! Pretty awesome, right? But don’t worry, we are still using the Rubbermaid containers.

To accompany these fantastic new bins, is delicious organic produce. Let’s see what our favorite picks are so far…

Sweet, juicy and delicious, these local mini watermelons are perfect and ready to eat. Plus, they hail from Eastern Washington! Slice it for a quick and filling snack. Scoop it out for a refreshing salad with feta cheese! You can even juice it for a sweet and healthy drink!

Staying local, this week’s Washington potatoes cam in looking great! One of our favorite potatoes, these are perfect for a tasty potato salad, ready to for the grill, or chopped with eggs for your morning boost.They are solid and crisp, ready to be cooked whichever way you’d like!

Take a peek at this weeks lettuce! Don’t they look gorgeous! So crisp and refreshing, eat these heads fast! Keep your lettuce fresh by patting the leaves dry, wrapping them with moist paper towels and placing them in a plastic bag.  Store your leaves in the produce drawer of your fridge for a longer lasting head of lettuce.

Lastly are the yummy and ready to eat Santa Rosa plums. Perfect for a snack on the go, these plums are sweet and perfect!
