Produce Report: Garlic Scapes and More Locals!

Hello all and Happy Tuesday! We’re almost halfway done with the week. Keep going!!

The produce is beautiful today, and we were surprised with a few extra local items that we were not even expecting, such as zucchini and sugar snap peas!

We are excited to see some perfect ears of tasty sweet corn.

There is one difference from what we posted on the orders and that is that we had to substitute curly parsley for flat-leaf for Monday and Tuesday because that was all that was available locally. We should have the flat-leaf variety for the rest of the week though.

The local raspberries and strawberries are fabulous although I do encourage eating them sooner than later, as they do not store very well.

The garlic scapes are pretty and fragrant as well; they can be used the same way youwould use regular bulb garlic. It is much more mild in flavor and you can use all of it.

Enjoy all the great produce!

Next week is already the 4th of July, so if you have plans to be out of town or will otherwise not be needing your bin next week, please let us know as soon as possible so we can plan accordingly!
